Hyundai Genesis wins 2009 North American Car of the Year

The all-new Hyundai Genesis was named the 2009 North American Car of the Year at the Detroit Auto Show on January 11, 2009.

The Genesis was a bold step for the Korean manufacturer to compete with the upscale models from other import and domestic car makers.

The vehicle is to-date the only model Hyundai manufactures with a V8 engine option. A V6 model is also available.
