Honda leaks drawing of next generation Civic Concept

Honda Canada has leaked a preview of the upcoming Civic concept car to be shown at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show.
The concept will debut at the on Monday, January 10 during 2011 North American International Auto Show.

According to Honda the sketch of the Civic Concept “conveys the sleek and aerodynamic profile of the show vehicle”. If history is any indicator, the production version of this 9th-generation 2012 Civic, will share much with the revealed concept. The model will go on sale in spring 2011.

Astonishingly, the Civic nameplate is approaching its 40 year anniversary. The model was first introduced in 1972 as a 1973 model. Even after all those years, Canadians still seem infatuated with the Civic. In 2009 the Honda Civic held the title of bets selling car in Canada for the 12th straight year.

The next generation Civic will also be manufactured at Honda Canada’s Alliston, Ontario assembly facility.
