Honda Canada has announced that its 2007 Honda Fit 5 door Hatchback will hit showrooms on April 3.
Honda hopes that the new to North America sub-compact will find its “Fit with first time buyers and others looking for a smaller car with flexible seating and an affordable price. The Fit comes with Honda’s Magic Seat ™, which allows either the seat back to fold down or the seat bottom to flip up on the 60/40 split rear seat, thus allowing a wide variety of seating and cargo options.
The Fit will be sold in 3 trim levels, DX, LX and Sport. A 1.5L 109 HP engine with a 5 speed manual transmission is standard on all 3 models. A first in class 5 speed automatic is available on every trim level but at varying prices.
The MSRP’s of the individual trim levels in Cdn. dollars:
$14,980 – Fit DX (manual)
$16,180 – Fit DX (automatic)
$17,180 – Fit LX (manual)
$18,380 – Fix LX (automatic)
$19,480 – Fit Sport (manual)
$20,780 – Fit Sport (automatic)
The Sport level automatic will feature steering mounted paddle shifters.
All trim levels come with anti-lock brakes, front and side curtain airbags as well as power windows.
Honda has estimated fuel economy of 7.3 L/100km city and 5.8 L/100km highway with the manual transmission equipped model.
