DaimlerChrysler Canada has announced that they will begin offering the new BLUTEC Clean Diesel Technology on the 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty pickup trucks fitted with the Cummins 6.7-litre turbo diesel.
The Ram 2500 and 3500 BLUETEC will meet the world’s toughest emissions standards, making them the cleanest and best-performing heavy-duty pickup trucks in the market.
The Dodge Ram 1500 pickup trucks will get an all-new Cummins clean diesel engine after 2009.
To expand their diesel line-up, an All-new turbo-diesel powered Jeep® Grand Cherokee CRD will reach Canada in March, 2007.
DaimlerChrysler claims their diesel engines provide up to 30 per cent better fuel economy when compared to equivalent gasoline engines.
