On the eve of the 2007 Canadian International Auto Show, DaimlerChrysler Canada head honcho Reid Bigland confirmed that the 2008 Dodge Challenger will be manufactured at the company’s Brampton, Ontario assembly plant. The all new Challenger is to be unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show in just under a years’ time.
To emphasize both of these newsworthy developments, the familiar Orange paint show car was on hand for a media reception, with the “Made in Canada” declaration painted on the windshield. In addition, “a countdown to Challenger clock” was unveiled showing that as of February 13, 2007 the world has but 358 days left to go before getting their first official peek at the latest Dodge muscle car.
The intimate setting of the media function allowed for closer than normal access to the proto-type car therefore here are a few pictures of the 6.1L Hemi, Challenger branded brake calipers and interior details.
